Happy Wednesday everyone! This is our last post from Saigon. We’re making our way to Northern Vietnam with stops in Sapa, Ninh Binh, and Hanoi. We’re also making a stop in Lao Cai for research. This is my second time meeting with the Pacific Links Foundation, an organization leading counter-trafficking efforts in Vietnam, but my first time going to the shelter. Their shelter is located right at the border of Vietnam and China in Lao Cai. As I gather more information and spend time at the safe house, I’ll make sure to update you. In the meantime, here’s a glimpse of beautiful Saigon before we say good bye (for now).
We took a stroll to the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts in District 1, but before getting there, we stopped by a random coffee shop. We wondered through an alleyway and up a couple of staircases, and found beautiful stonewalls leading up to balconies overlooking the city. These unexpected gems make Saigon truly breathtaking.
And everywhere we went, we were greeted by butterflies =)
Three floors of Vietnamese art works in sculpture, painting, and ceramic; charming French doors at every corner; an art student sketching and displaying his work at the museum… it was the perfect day date/city date/day to fall in love with Saigon all over again.
I hope you enjoy the post, photography, and styling! As always, thank you so much for reading!
